Privacy Policy

Revised: August 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Rush Monkey LLC ("Karatrack," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Karatrack websites — karatrack.com and its subdomains — and the Karatrack desktop software products, including Karatrack-AI, Karatrack File Manager, and Karakiosk (together, the "Software").

The KaraMeet platform (karameet.app) has its own Privacy Policy, available at karameet.app.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account information — name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store your plain-text password).
  • Purchase information — what you bought and when. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
  • Support requests — anything you include when you contact us or submit a support ticket, including optional crash reports. Crash reports are never sent without your explicit opt-in.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data — pages and features used, and app performance data.
  • Device and connection data — browser type, device type, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.
  • License validation data (desktop software) — a hardware fingerprint (a one-way hash derived from hardware identifiers on your machine) and periodic license check-ins. This is used solely to enforce license terms and prevent piracy; it does not read your files or personal documents.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in and remember preferences like language and theme. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the websites may stop working.

2. How We Use Information

  • to provide and operate the Software — accounts, downloads, license keys, activation, and support;
  • to process purchases and manage subscriptions through Stripe;
  • to provide AI features, where the minimum context needed is sent to our AI model provider to generate the output;
  • to send service communications (receipts, license keys, security notices) and, with your consent where required, product news — you can opt out of marketing at any time;
  • to detect fraud, license abuse, and violations of our Terms; and
  • to improve the Software using aggregated, de-identified statistics.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

3. How We Share Information

  • Service providers — companies that host and operate the Software on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations: payment processing (Stripe), database and hosting providers, email delivery, track-identification services (AcoustID/MusicBrainz — audio fingerprints of your tracks, not personal data), and AI model providers. We do not permit our AI providers to use your data to train their models.
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information in response to lawful requests (subpoenas, court orders) or where we believe in good faith it is necessary to prevent fraud, imminent harm, or violations of our Terms.
  • Business transfers — if our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy or one at least as protective.

4. Your Local Data

Your song library, singer database, playlists, and show history in the desktop Software are stored on your own machine, not on our servers. We cannot see, access, or recover them. You are responsible for backing them up.

5. Data Storage and International Users

Our websites and services are hosted in the United States. If you use them from outside the U.S., you consent to your information being transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

6. Data Retention

We keep account information while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes — for example, purchase records tied to a lifetime license. Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, download, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can edit your details and manage your machines in your account portal, and you can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support@karatrack.com. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law (including, where applicable, the GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws). We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and keep your license key private. If we learn of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Children

The Software is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@karatrack.com and we will delete it.

10. Links to Other Sites

The Software may link to third-party sites and services (for example, Stripe's checkout). Their privacy practices are their own; we encourage you to read their policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Revised" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Translations are provided for convenience only; the English version controls.
